Engagement Shoot | Iceland | Heepal and Khushbu

We really can’t put into words how lucky we feel to photograph people so in love in some of the most beautiful places. Even though I lived in Reykjavik, Iceland for a year, so much of what I got to experience was not through a camera’s lens. With three days to capture all the epic beauty that Iceland has to offer, we knew we would be up against the clock but it would be a challenge we were 100% up for.

On our first day there, we made our way to South Island in Iceland. We headed for a town called Vik and along the way made some stops to see some iconic sights. Diamond Beach was our first stop. Though it was raining and cold, this black beach which borders Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon was covered with glass like ice strewn along the beach, hence it’s name, Diamond Beach. Across from there we went to Reynisfjara with the cobalt column stacks. The water there in Reynisfjara is so dangerous that to get caught in it, is sure death to any not careful to get dragged out by the riptide. Diamond Beach is no joke and its beauty is worth seeing to believe it.

Of course we had to stop at Skogafoss as well to see the beautiful waterfall there. In a beautiful Indian outfit, Khushbu braved the wind and cold to get some shots (and a beautiful spin as well) that has won us a few awards since.

We also wanted to create some WTF Moments for our couple (Check out our Instagram for the video of it) and we found a deserted cave which we lit up to be completely red and then had Khushbu twirl to create an iconic image.
