Engagement Shoot | Jay and Karishma

Starting early in the morning, we kicked off the day in a gorgeous hotel near Fateh Garh. Heading to the rooftop, we watched the sun rise and got to see Udaipur light up. It was a breath taking site even as an Indian. India catches me by surprise sometimes and never fails to wow. Our couple, Jay and Karishma, are from the States so they were eager as well to see all the beauty of this gorgeous city.

Next we went to the Ahar Cenotaphs. This was straight out of a movie. These cenotaphs are able to be photographed but couples shoots required a permit which would take a few days to get. This however was easily enough circumvented with 3000 Rupees. Truth be told I would have paid 10 times that to shoot there. The first thing you notice are how many pigeons there are. Using a drone we were able to control the direction and density of how many pigeons were in one area. This lead to some amazing photos and video.

After a stunning set of photos there, we went to Fateh Sagar, which yet again told us that we cannot bring cameras into the place to shoot. That being said, we shot our couple through the fence and brought out drone over the fence so we could get some incredible shots.

As the sun set, we were able to capture that golden color that is special to Udaipur. We had to do one final night shot at the gates to the boat for the Leela. Yet again, we were told we could not shoot at the gate, but we were able to convince the guard to allow us to take one shot. As you can see it was worth it. We put a small strobe/flash behind the couple and lit up the sky behind them. The mosquitos were all lit up (yes there really are that many at that time of night). 

The day could not have gone any better between this amazing Indian couple, Jay and Karishma. We could have photographed them all day long, they made my job so easy. Here are some preview images of their engagement shoot. For now, enjoy these few sneaks!
